My Everyday Makeup Essentials

Hi angels! Happy Saturday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday (perhaps some of you are still celebrating or vacationing) … I know I did.
In my previous post, about my ‘Sweet & Rustic Holiday Decor’ I shared with y’all that I would be spending the holidays in San Francisco – well I decided to go home! It was one of the best decisions I could’ve made. I got to spend time with my family, eat good food, sleep in, wake up to the ocean & laugh  A LOT.
When I travel home, I like to pack l i g h t, mainly because I plan to do some shopping & my family always sends me back with food. Though I came to the realization, that my makeup of all things, takes up the least amount of space and consideration when packing. Yeah, yeah makeup is ‘compact’ but I’m actually really low-maintenance about doing my makeup. It gives me anxiety how many options there are, not to mention the different techniques of applying makeup.
++Kudos to all the beauty gurus who prime, highlight, bronze, brush, blot, blend, this & that, sugar & spice++ I just can’t.
Luckily, I’ve found a handful of beauty products (seven!!!) that take me 5 minutes to apply, last all day, don’t break my bank, and make me look all dolled up.

Before all this beautifying – I cleanse my face REAL good. I’ll share that process in another post. Subscribe if you’re interested.
For my face – IT Cosmetics ‘Your Skin but Better’ CC+ cream with SPF (Medium) and Too Faced ‘Matte Cocoa Powder Foundation’ (Medium Tan)
Both these products are light weight, last all day, smell AHMAZING and provide hydration for your skin! PLUS the CC+ cream protects your skin from the sun (perfect for vacation). Personally, I’ve noticed that both these two products combined give my skintone an even finish and diminish the appearance of wrinkles. How do I apply? I like to get my beauty blender just a little wet, pump 2 drops of the CC+ cream and blot all over – it gives more of a natural affect. Then I just use my powder brush for the powder foundation.
For my eyes – Maybelline ‘Cool Cocoa’ Eyeshadow (across the entire lid) and Maybelline ‘Nude Glow’ Eyeshadow (in my tear ducts) Stila Cosmetics ‘Stay All Day’ Liquid Waterproof Eyeliner (Intense Black) IT Cosmetics ‘Superhero’ Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara (Super Black)
Using my ELF ‘blending brush’ I cover my entire lid with 1 coat of the Maybelline ‘Cool Cocoa’ eyeshadow then I using my MAC 217 brush,. Then I add a little of the Maybelline ‘Nude Glow’ in my tear ducts and brush up and over my eyelid -JUST A BIT!
For my lips – IT Cosmetics ‘Je Ne Sais Quoi, Rose’ Hydrating Color
…now don’t get me wrong, I do love make up and all the great things you can do with it. Many hours in high school were dedicated to watching Michelle Phan’s Youtube videos educating me on how to apply glitter and creating dramatic butterfly wings.
Well now I’m off to enjoy the last that 2017 has to offer & read. What are your everyday makeup essentials? Are you a beauty guru or a simple 1, 2, 3 step kind of girl?

XO, VivaLaFox
